That does look stunning. One of the coolest finishes ever! Black hole sunburst
I'd look for the rattle elsewhere. Check that all the tuner buttons are tight, tuner mounting nuts are snug first.
Does the rattle sound like the string intermittently strikes the first fret?Sheldon, thank you! I just checked all of that; screws, nuts, etc. Nothing is loose. The rattle goes away if I add slight pressure to the B right behind the nut, and just before it contacts the string tree. Thats what made me wonder if the tree needed to be lowered.
I appreciate you chiming in! Game changing basses here for me...

How have I missed these? Those are both right up my alley - very nice! These have been posted a few too many times, but they're always happy to trot out for a curtain call:

Play Super J all dayCan people post more pictures? I need a dingwall fix.

I thought about that, I tried a small piece of paper in the nut slot and it's still happens. It only goes away with a little pressure on the string right before it hits the string tree. I wonder if its the string?
Its not a "metal" sounding rattle. More of a wub wub wub but really fast...
I’ve had it happen with a couple of B strings. Make sure your not getting excessive twist and try another B. Is this on the flats?
No, the Combustion with rounds. I do have another Dingwall B here I can try, great idea.
The TI flats are breaking very in nicely BTW.

Wub It!@AB Nate - is anyone paying you for this advice?
New string, no wub wub wub. Other string wub wub wub. Problem solved.
