Dingwall Owners Club

If you order our 4 set, and specify in the notes, you want BEAD, it would cost $24.95.
Well I wish I knew that. I saw the cost of your new 4-string drop A set ($35.28) and at the bottom of the home page I tried selecting individual strings to make my own BEAD set, it came out to $36.85.

Choose the 4 string set and we’ll sub for BEAD when noted.

It's funny, I came here to ask some F# questions as I might have an opportunity coming up that requires it, and boom, all kinds of F# talk on the last page.

I'll have to hit up a tech I've used before and see if he has a file to do that kind of work on the nut.

To those who have done it before, have you been able to go back to a standard B afterwards, or do you have to replace the nut?

Yea... I just chose a US MTD over a Canadian DW and I finally find some guys to jam with and 90% of the songs they want to play are in F# and crazy drop tunings.

I'm not going to back out of the MTD but I need something in the immediate to play and jam with these guys. I tried to run some DDT on my sandberg 35" fkur string but unless I make a pick out of feathers and play really light it's just flop city. And I'm heavy handed so... looks like I'll be grabbing up a droc or 4 banger NG very soon.

I currently have mine in DGCF using a set of 45-105T Dunlop Super Bright Nickels and no problem coming from GDGC. No fret buzz, nothing. I just had to tighten the truss rod by a teeeeny tiny bit.

I’m not a fan of those DR DDTs, they make the bass sound dull. But as always YMMV.

I agree. Trash. I have a set of the Ernie Ball BEEFY but I'm not expecting much difference
I want to try those, those are on my next set to buy list. I recently got a custom set of Dunlop Super Bright Nickels, a custom set of D’Addario XL, and a 5-string set of Sadowsky Blue Label Nickel super long - all for BEAD purposes.

Gone from F# to B a couple of times with no issue.

NBD! Didn't bother taking a nicer pic, wanted to try it right away...

The matte white is amazing looking in person, really happy with it (the shop where I tried a bunch of D-Rocs and Ng's didn't have a white one, found this online for a killer price)

Enjoy! I like the string retainer design and implementation on these.

Just about to put my first Custom order in. Like many who have found Dingwall most of my basses became harder to choose to play over the Dingwall and I am finding myself choosing to change the tuning on my NG6 rather than play another bass. So time to kick it up a notch and get a Canadian one. After all these years I know what I want 100% in a bass.

Ordering AB1 6 string. Wenge neck and board. Alder body. Gloss Black. Darkglass, 3x and 3 pickups and 3 toggles.

Nice and simple. I have other basses with all the beautiful woods and things. I always prefer black basses so no need to get too creative. Pretty excited. I am 2 years into a 3 year wait for a Wal so waiting for a Dingwall should be a walk in the park lol.

I am currently in the denial phase of this journey. We shall see if my constitution holds.

I was still denying that I was going to put a deposit on a Canadian as I was contacting Dingwall for the price list, as I was running a spreadsheet on the various models and options, as I was emailing JFB to make sure I understood what all of the options meant…

Boy, I really can’t wait for August and getting my Z3.
