I'm not big on block markers, but I have to say that the flame accent layer between the top and back send that one over the moon for me.
That's the sort of instrument that should come with a bib and towels for the drool...

Isn’t Black Limba similar tonally to Mahogany? I didn’t know mahogany was even available as an option at Dingwall.

I think so but have no real reference.

I haven't been able to play the last two weekends, but we're on for Sunday and the blood bass (AB) is on deck. I couldn't wait for the Dingwall nickels to wear out to hear the Paysons on it - I just got done re-stringing. It'll be a good comparison of nearly-new strings. Serendipitously, the (red) ball ends match the finish. 
Hi. I see that on this page there are several mentions of the Behringer X32/Midas M32 type of mixer. I was wondering if I could ask a question of you experts out there... I like the X32 console, but to save costs I am considering getting the rack version. I know that to get all the inputs something like a s16 snake is needed. The hardware on the console has 16 XLR outputs whereas the rack has only 8. My question is using something like a S16 or S32 snake can I get 16 independent XLR outputs on the rack or is it somehow limited to just 8 regardless of what is connected?
I have no connection to this, just found it on Reverb.
I wish I had the money to MAKE a connection to it as a buyer, though.

I held that bass for just a quick moment yesterday. Notice I didn't say "play", lol.. it sounded phenomenal when Jason played it through his house rig. Beyond beautiful in person.
I finally got to feel the difference between the AB and Z neck as well. I thought the AB had a slim profile, the Z would take some getting used to. Felt great though.. for all 25-30 seconds of it, ha!
I just bought the D-bird off Reverb (the one labeled as a D-Roc) so super stoked!!!

Yeah I lucked out. I noticed it on Friday and immediately put a bass up for sale to cover it. The bass sold yesterday and I immediately bought it. I was sure someone from this club would beat me to it. Especially with the talk about D-Rocs and D-Birds lately. I knew there were a couple of folks looking for one other than me. I was seriously considering a D-Roc but preferred the look of the D-Bird.
