Dingwall Owners Club

Shameless plug - if anyone has a spare dingwall 2x rotary switch and looking to sell...please hit me up!

I know I could order a new one from FretNation...just wanted to see if I can get away with not waiting for 14days or so...Thanks!

Are you in the USA? Takes like 3 days to get them from Fret Nation. He stocks all things Dingwall.

Fret Nation also is taking pre orders for the Dingwall Darkglass (Darkwall? Dingglass?) pedal, they will ship by the end of April!

Just pre-ordered the pedal through FN.. looking forward to trying this. I love my Aftershock, but all my drives/dirt presets are based around variations of the DG pedals anyway. Might as well give this a whirl. If it's not my thing, I'll offer it up here to all of you first.

They're just popping out the woodwork! First @Grand Wazoo, now Skies (who can't be tagged)!! Nice to see you both.
Well I am slowly returning to "near normal" life, if that's what I could call it after a serious life changing condition that has taken me off the radar from 2011, so guess what now we're in 2023 I've been in and out of hospitals for the last 12 years. I am ok now if anyone cares but life is not the same and will never be again, I just have to be content that I still breath and can still play bass, but not much else.

I am glad to see you here, I leaned on your knowledge heavily when I started down the Dingwall rabbit hole. I appreciated your willingness to share your knowledge with me. I get it, while not as serious as what you've been dealing with, I've had a cancer scare, prostate roto rooter, swelling tendons in my fretting hand, and turn 71 in May.

I hope you stick around!

I like the motto of "room for one more"

I recently acquired an NG-3 six string as kind of a birthday present. My only six string bass became my main bass and I kind of started relying on having six strings, so I wanted a backup, but I also wanted something that brings something else to the table.

And as soon as I carried it home, I started doing abominable things to it.
I took off the pickguard and sent it to a custom pickguard maker, to make me a clear one without the turbo vents.
I contacted a string manufacturer to get a set of flats for the multiscale 6 setup - and now I'm debating to bring it to a pro to have a Glockenklang pre installed, replacing the Darkglass.
Plus while we have it open, have a look at the pickup selector to see if it's possible to get rid of bridge/middle in favor of neck/middle.

Here's a pic with the flats and the clear pickguard:

Looking good! You should be able to swap the wires from the bridge and neck on the selector to get that option, but will also swap the neck only and bridge only positions.
