Dingwall Owners Club

Just doing the calculations that would come in at $5200 CAD delivered tax in. I wonder how much they were on Dingwall's preorder as I know everything on Reverb is marked up at least a little if not significantly.
The listing said he "just sold one in 32 seconds" so maybe he's adding an extra big markup to capitalize on perceived demand. The guitar pedal flipper move...

It is a cool bass but I'd rather just get an AB at that price!

they were around 3.5k CAD, don’t remember the exact amount. I expected them to be higher.

I assume the Reverb price for that shop doesn’t include VAT, so they have really jacked up the price there.

Dingwall John Taylor 2023 - Custom | Reverb

A JT is available right now, someone buy this!

this is actually a preorder add too. Not even immediately available.
Same here, $3700 USD after sales tax but before import fees is too much.
It doesn’t have enough strings for my tastes either. I’m just hoping that pre amp gets sold on its own relatively soon.

one thing I just picked up from an IG vid was that the Neve pre is making its DEBUT in the Rio bass.
I’ll assume, hopefully for those that want one, this pre will be available on its own in the future.

Shameless plug - if anyone has a spare dingwall 2x rotary switch and looking to sell...please hit me up!

I know I could order a new one from FretNation...just wanted to see if I can get away with not waiting for 14days or so...Thanks!

Which dealers are getting JT sig models? Only 82 to be made, I imagine deposits are looking for a place to go. Only six months out….

I thought the limited run was for that initial finish. I expect that JTs will be available in an ongoing fashion, but maybe not that Rio color scheme. Maybe I expect too much?

Link to vid @ :47 where he talks about the limited run:

Part of the reason I think this is the year for the headless Dingwall, is that I was watching a Jacob Umansky live stream of him playing Intervals songs before their tour. He mentioned he’s getting a new Dingwall at the LA show that he’s excited for. Coincidently he gets this new Dingwall immediately after NAMM. I can’t think of anyone better to promote a headless Dingwall!

Pretty sure Sheldon said in his interview with @IvanBassist earlier this year that the headless is going to be another year or two as he's trying to design the perfect bridge, based largely on the Kubicki bridge. I'm guessing Jacob Umansky's bass is just going to be a different color scheme based on his current Stormtrooper bass.

I have a strong hunch it’s a sig model. Little chance a headless will be arriving any time soon.
