Dingwall Owners Club

Does anyone know if the Nordstrand dingwall pickups for parallel fret basses work with stock 2x dingwall rotary switch (Neck, Neck & Bridge in parallel, Neck & Bridge Series, Bridge)? Thanks in advance:bassist:

PS: anyone having an extra 2x rotary switch looking to get rid of?

Anyone know off hand of Nordstrand can get their hands on Dingwall shells?

I'd love to hear some Big Singles in a Dingwall.
I had a brainfart earlier and thought that the Dingstrand Nordwall pickup was Dingwall's proprietary shape. I'm sure Nordstrand would get back to you with an answer pretty quickly if you message them.

Which dealers are getting JT sig models? Only 82 to be made, I imagine deposits are looking for a place to go. Only six months out….

Dingwall had a preorder on their store which is sold out obviously: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

First time I’ve ever seen that.

I suspect a few dealers will be getting them, I kinda want one for the preamp only but I’m sure it’ll be too pricey for me for a 4 string combustion.

A few years ago (shortly after FDV's were introduced), Dingwall was kind enough to send shells to Nordstrand for me for a small fee. They even included fresh screws and tubing! I don't know if they are still willing to do so, but it never hurts to ask. This one now has a Big Split bridge pickup and NP-4a, both AlNico V...

I missed that bit of Dingwall news. Probably for the best, I won’t have to explain why I absolutely needed a new, metallic pink bass.

What was the price on these beauties? The ebony fretboard is a great look. I checked FretNation and John Fox, but didn’t see any listed, yet.
The Rio color scheme will be even more rare than the Dbirds.

I think I’ve mentioned it before, but John Taylor inspired me to take a chance on the Peavey Cirrus. Well, JT and DrCheese. The Cirrus 4 string is my only “straight” bass. Great modern, active sound, often referred to as a poor man’s Ken Smith.

I call it a Mississippi Alembic.

Dingwall is going to crush it at NAMM. I love the lowrider style paint jobs and colors. The hot rod vibe comes through on a lot of Sheldon’s designs.

As a kid, I’d pass on buying baseball cards, but I had most of the Chopper cards. Three cards and a stick of crappy gum, but super cool bikes and trikes. And some fun looking girls on some of the cards. Wholesome ‘70’s biker gals. Just what a kid needs. Anybody else remember Chopper cards?

I think I need to get back to practicing with my airbrush.

Can I ask what they call that gold finish? Still undecided about my Z build finish but leaning towards some type of gold.

I don't think I've seen any discussion of new pickups in the works. Curious what you'd want from humbuckers that the current pickup offerings don't cover.

Anybody I know who ever sold his dingwall was because of that split coil sound ..
The basses look super modern, they miss a super modern sound to go with it, in the opinion of many people apparently.

You know, something which sounds nice right away in the living room ?
As opposed to a sound which works great in the mix but can sound underwhelming on its own.
So I guess scooped instead of mid-forward as the long scale are .. which seems to kind of defeat the whole purpose but what do I know :)

Note : just to be clear I do not necessarily agree with this opinion myself, but it is a fact that many people do.

It's the Hellboy circuit in a pedal and is a NAMM release so not really any chance of seeing a demo yet.

Nice! I had a chance to see it in person last year at the Guitar Summit, but I couldn’t test it.
I’ll definitely order one
