I second that recommendation. John is one of the nicest, open folks who just happens to also hold a business license to sell basses. His is not a retail facility, it is a home of stellar instruments that need to find their human soulmate. Yeah, maybe a bit too poetic but the vibe is real.

I’m trying to get my first Dingwall D-Roc standard 4 but I don’t live near a dealer. I’m not sure where to find one from a reliable source.

As everyone has said John Fox is great to deal with and just a super nice guy who goes way above and beyond.

The quickest way to vet the dealers is just to look on the Dingwall site, they list all their dealers and don’t work with anyone who is terrible.

It’s pretty much passed at this point. I was working a very strenuous stressful kitchen job at the time. It was more the wide 6 string neck that was causing issues, long scale didn’t seem to be a factor.

Was that a satin poly neck? Im asking because I have a Dingwall on the way with maple neck and fingerboard and I'm thinking about how to keep it nice and fresh and what to use to clean it

I've been playing my maple/maple necked Super P for nine years (in rotation) and it still looks clean and fresh. The only 'cleaning' I've done is with a microfiber cloth.

Yeah that is not going to work for me. My necks get gunky and so do the fretboards on all the basses I have ever owned, so I gotta clean them at least twice a year.

Especially the fretboard.

Yes. I just use a fretboard conditioner and microfiber towel on my SP maple fretboard and it stays nice and clean.

That is a sexy, sexy finish. I am seriously tempted to order a D-Roc with a variation on this pattern. Different colors, different decorative elements in the sections that are purple/pink on that one…like, a similar idea, but different pattern than that floral one.
