I spent a few hours jamming out with some Jaguar House streams yesterday. I started with my Droc, then transitioned to my ABZ, and followed up with my Wombat. All three sounded great but the ABZ absolutely stood out in the mix. I played finger, pick and slap. The only place the Wombat was the better choice was the thumpy tone rolled off sounds, but it's also wearing flats. If I could only have one bass I think it would have to be the ABZ. Thank God I don't have to make that choice.

If I’m not mistaken, @IvanBassist‘s Super PJ is configured this way, but with the Z variation of the concept (swamp ash / northern ash) instead of the Sklar (alder / northern ash).

Yes, that Super PJ is a stellar instrument. It really sounds good in his videos.

Got my Super P from 2013 this Thursday! Alder body, maple neck and Pau Ferro fretboard. The tone control has been changed to a 12 way ToneStyler. Really happy with this bass!!

Dual density bodies are pretty standard on Zs. I have one and am a true believer. As far as I know it's also an option the AB, but not the ABZ.

Yeah this is passive but when I bought it and took it home I didn't believe it until I opened the back control cavity and realised there was no battery, only then I believed it. Goes to show these pickups are sh*t-hot!
