I think you'd be silly not to make such a terrible financial decision
Every Dingwall comes with a case these days, the basses are no longer than a regular fender so the bags are pretty much a standard size (i.e. my ABZ fit just fine in my old Stingray hardcase).
Sounds like you need to look for something pretty specific.
I mostly use the Enki now but all the Dingwall’s have come with great bags.
I also have a hisox case that fits my six strings fine.
I got myself one of these, went with genuine water buffalo leather.

These fit super well length wise but they're kind of a little bit of a struggle depth wise for my ABII. Gotta open it up fully every time, which is no big deal.
More time for me to smell how nice this leather and leather polishing fat is

As good and accommodating as John is he’s not gonna be able to make it 1/2lb lighter though haha

I am using an Access Stage 3 gig bag. I have serval models of gig bags, but my gigging bass always goes in that one. It will fit the Supers and Afterburners (and others), no problem.
Installed the Payson bridge and started converting the other remaining hardware to black. Bridge, tuners, switch, knobs, and output cup went on no problems.
Then I ran in to an issue with the string retainer. It appears the one I got has screw holes that are just a little narrower than the factory Combustion one. Does anyone know where I can find a black string retainer for the Combustion 5 that fits properly?

That’s such a small part, I’d just hit it with gloss black spray paint and use the original.
At one time I owned and played a Super J 5 string as well as a Z 5 string (19mm v 18mm spacing). It was enough to throw me off so I sold the Super J.
This is exactly what I did after I spent way too long trying to find one that matched precisely for a sensible price. It's not a part that sees much wear either so the paint will hold up for a decent amount of time.
Just popping in to say that Cosmo Black hardware should be banned.
The first thing I do the second I get a bass with cosmo black is replace it. For no other reason that I like to put a detuner on my basses and they don’t make them in cosmo black. Other than that, they show patina and corrosion super fast and look nasty.
