I'd argue that the Z bridge is superior to even the new mono OEM bridge, especially with how it's installed with the block in the body.
Are people hoping that Z's start coming with that style of bridge as well?

I love the Z bridge! No desire for anything else on my end.
I don't have a Dingwall yet, and I've never played a Z, but the look of the bridge is my favorite

The Z bridge is a masterpiece.
Having the mass of the sustain block nestled into the body like that I believe adds richness and texture to its sound vs the snappiness of the lighter weight low mass options on other models.
I don’t think anyone is comparing the Z bridge to anything in the product lines… there is no comparison. lol.
It’s a classy piece of machinery to boot.
I really wanted to get a Payson bridge but there are just a few small factors that left me holding off -honestly including money allocations at this time. Dressing up my “budget bass” vs just grabbing my Z doesn’t seem useful- for hopefully a bit of redesign on the 6 string.
I think these and some matching black and gold tuners would go pretty rad on my purple NG
but that again seems like a silly expense at this time for me.(I’m throwing money at my MTB life these days instead).
lol when I get laid up for doing something dumb and all I can do is sit around and play bass I’ll end up entertaining the idea more I’m sure!!!

I miss the old Prima Artist bridges... I know folks viewed them as a pain in the arse, but I liked them. To be more specific, I'm talking about the ones that had the pin which you slipped the ball end over. Here it is on my Prima:
And damn do I wish I could convince Sheldon, just once, to let me have a Z with matching pickup covers. I want that so badly on my next/"last" Z.

things! As you can all see, I get annoyed only by the most crucial things in life!
It's actually "better" for the balls to be free so that the strings don't get a lateral twist while installing.
I too, prefer the balls to be free. I see you are also a man of adventure.
It's fairly trivial to avoid that, but it does take a smidge more attention than not having the ends pinned, which I think was one of the larger gripes about it. I still like it though
