How do fanned frets and longer scales affect octaver tracking?

I suspect the answer is, it doesn't really make any difference.

IIRC, Sheldon Dingwall has stated that he designs his basses for clarity and pitch focus - so if anything, I'd expect a Dingwall to trigger an octaver more evenly and track better than other basses.

More realistically, you might not notice any difference.

IMO, it's not just a waste of time but insulting to beat around the bush.

Every time that people start chatting about them, I am shocked that I haven’t put in a 6 way selector or toggle switches in my Z. You may have noticed in some pictures I have posted that I have a good amount of modular synthesizer gear (which are more than a synthesizer, really). So, I love getting into the weeds of sound design and having a lot of options.
IDK if it’s Fear of Messing Up (will I pick the wrong pickup combo) OR if I think the switches will always have me tweaking (does this pickup combo sound better in parallel or series with this fuzz? What about that fuzz? I have a lot of fuzz boxes).

I really dig 3 of the 4 options that I have with bridge only being the weakest link. So, it totally does make sense to me to replace that bridge only option at some point. If I am replacing, I might as well get the 6 way.
What is the stock setting for the toggle switches?

I'm thinking about making a 6 position switch for my D-Roc keeping the 4 default configurations but with (internally) reconfigurable configuration for the 2 additional positions, so that it is easy to change the pickup combinations (without soldering) but when playing, the options are still just a 6 position switch. I'll keep you posted of the progress (may take some time, though)

Do you mean there are no difference between neck and bridge except polarity? (And I can just rotate it and that's it?)

Just a note. Bear in mind the 6 way switches are incredibly tight(depth) in the Droc body I believe.
