Did you get slightly different gauges? I could see how that might be preferred. Or if you managed to get a B with a taper. That would help. But I didn't have an issue with length.
My bass will be shipped out this month. It was ordered in May 2021.
Thanks - did they give a an initial "build date" estimate when you ordered (and was it through a dealer)?
Basically BEA from JF365 and DG from JF344 - and those 2 are slightly thinner, matching other strings better in tone and tension IMO, and with the silk covering the entire portion of the strings that is wound around the tuning pegs, on the G in particular (and that is important on TI flats). No choice however on the massive B string - only one reference fits, and no taper.
I pre ordered it with a dealer, so unfortunately I do not know the original estimate made in 2021. The dealer told me that if I wanted a new build it would take 30 months. But most likely 3 years because of delays. That is all I know. Hope this helps.

I found the euro to be bigger than the droc. More classic baseball like shape. It was not uncomfortable, quite the contrary - it was nice to play and easy to play.
I just didn't dig the feel of it in different aspects than the neck shape.

Fast-neck city. Super solid in feel, tone. I think I might have liked it more than the ABII if I had the two side by side, hard to tell. Would love to try my ABII against a Droc custom wenge neck, for example...

Thinking back, and this gets kinda foggy at my age, I believe I asked Jason for suggestions on a set of TI flats for my AB six string. He put together the mixed set for me. I never really knew exactly why that was, I just went with it.
There is no getting around that huge B string, and I never liked it much. So, all my five strings went E-C. That said, the six string with TI flats was wonderful, despite the extra fiddling around to make the B work. I needed shorter saddle screws to get the B and E low enough.
I did have good results with the Infeld Superalloy super long set, if anyone is looking for a more budget friendly round wound set that feels like a close cousin of the TI sets.
Gross as it sounds, I’ve bought used TI flats from the classifieds. Most used sets aren’t very used. You either love em or hate em. I figure some one gave them a quick tryout, hated the feel and the painfully bright sound of new. You expect the mellow rich flat sound everyone raves about and it’s just so incessantly bright. Takes a good month of heavy playing and sweat to get to the goods.

I've searched but the results are about chording - I have my first Dingwall, first fanned fret bass on order. I cannot wait!
