It's a neat pot, but I prefer having a full range tone control. I also found that I got enough mid-cut on my SPJ on the bridge+neck parallel setting.

Yes but my thought process was there’s 3 other settings. P2 (both in series) and P1 give me more options with the T/F control. I’m an option junkie. P4 (bridge) only gets used very rarely.

Yes I do! I always knew I wanted a PJ, but the configuration on the SJ5's was JJ on the initial batches because they didn't have the 5 string split P developed at the time.
How do I know if my Super P has a tone fusion or normal tone (I think it's a standard). Is it obvious? Is there a detent or something?
Super obvious: the Tone Fusion has a detent at center.
Super PJs come with a normal tone pot from the factory, though I suppose you could order it with one.
My Super PJ was a conversion to PJ. I have the TF pot in my parts bin still.

I have a Darkglass Tone Capsule that I had in an AB I. It really wasn't my thing and I swapped it out for an East MM preamp. Anyways, if anyone wants it, let me know and I'll send it to you. I'll put it in the Classifieds to make it legit, but I wanted the Dingwall Club to have dibs. Free, I just ask that it goes to someone that wants to use it and not someone that's going to flip it. Also has a 4x rotary for 3 pickups. DM me, first DM gets it.

Just for clarity and eventual accountability... I grabbed this with the intent to re-try the DGTC, which will finalize my specs on my upcoming Z. So I'm going to put it in a 2x Z w/ FD3s, and then a 3x AB1 with FDVs. I'll be doing rehearsals and gigging with both, and at some point make a choice on what way to go.
Once that's all done, it's very likely that either the DGTC or a Glock pre will end up unneeded in my life, so my hope/intent is therefore to "pay it forward" and similarly offer up for free. I hope no one here will report me when I do, as I have zero intent on being a supporting member here heh.
Amen, brother. The precision pickup on these are 1/4" closer to the neck compared to the standard sweet spot for the P. They bring slightly less mids, and an awesome tone/voice!

I replaced the stock EMG preamp and rotary in my Combustion 3x 6 string and replaced it with a series/parallel switch for each pickup and two 2x rotaries. The bridge and middle pickup go to one, and the output of that rotary goes into the input of the second rotary along with the neck pickup. No tone, just volume.
After it was tested but before wires were bundled and tied together:
With some quick math, there are around 43 permutations ~ obviously not practically useful. My goal is to find my 6 favorites and replace both rotaries with a 6-way rotary and a tone control.
Some quick first impressions: Middle solo with the pickup in series is one of my favorites now. Bridge and middle both in parallel and parallel to each other is giving very MM vibes that I really like.

Well here some user error for ya…. Context: I was wondering where all the heft was with the super p and it was just something new. Figured out the issue. I always play with a backbeat now no matter what and I hadn’t setup my dingwall strap with one yet so I was perceiving the heft with the rumble. If you take the backbeat out of the equation it balances out. Lol.
