How would you describe the difference between the middle solo and the neck solo?

I have a similar setup, and it's a combination of both the pickup position and type. I find the P-Tone in the neck is both deeper and brighter, while the FD3 (and I assume FD3n as well) in the middle is more aggressive mids. And putting either in parallel with an FD3 in the bridge sounds great too.

Very similar to what Derek described above.

The neck P-Tone sounds more “full.” Definitely more lows, more “boom” (though not boomy).

The middle FD3n sounds tighter with more mids. More aggressive.

Both sound really good with fingers or with a pick. Just depends on the song for which would be better suited.

Of course Bridge and Neck together sounds good because it always does

The Bridge and Middle together (with the middle now in series) is MUCH better than the solo Bridge for my needs. Kind of has that MM feel to it. Comparable in output to the other selections which is nice.

Short story: I was looking for strings for my newly acquired Gretsch 6072, which is huge, and Eric Coco and I thought these rare 41” (ball to silk ) would be the right fit. Well, we had a small misunderstanding, and the strings are 1-2” too long. So, Eric, being the gentleman he is, is sending me a new standard set, which will fit, and when I asked if I should send these 41” back, he said just keep them. So, I’m paying his generosity forward and offering this brand new set of uncut 41” flats for free to anyone who sends me $10 postage. First come, first served, CONUS only please. I have no idea what basses could use these. Maybe a dingwall, or some other extra long-scale bass. Remember, they are 41” from ball to the start of the silk. PM if interested.

I'd go for the green if it was like a hunter green, but I can't find any pics of the deep candy green being offered.

Candy Green is similar to British Racing Green.

Yeah, that pickguard made me pick white. Very intense on the green. BUT... I don't think the gold pick guards are fully decided as of yet.

The white looks pretty good but it seems more Olympic white than the Ducati white pearl.

I’m definitely down for an import Super P, in the Candy Green. Which should surprise no one who knows which end of the spectrum I gravitate to.

Yeah, if the pick guards stay as they are, swapping for a different color will be something I do quite soon after receiving the SP.

I am excited by the Import Supers. I haven’t gotten on a list & won’t buy right away. But at some point, I will convert one to a fretless.

I think the "indicate your interest" list puts you down for the opportunity to buy when he receives them.

When I purchased a build slot for a custom (back in December) I ensured with him that I was not sacrificing or swapping my "interest slot" in the import SPJ and that I wanted both.

I read his "interest" blurb as getting him dialed in on how many to order, then he will sell based on your place on the interest list. Bass Central, on the other hand, seems to have a definite number of the first batch already allocated from Dingwall and are taking actual reservations for a specific instrument & color, but with a $500 deposit.

About the cost of a D-roc most likely. For us in Canada it's best to avoid ordering one from the US as it will be made in China and subject to an extra tariff, should be much cheaper here.
