About the cost of a D-roc most likely. For us in Canada it's best to avoid ordering one from the US as it will be made in China and subject to an extra tariff, should be much cheaper here.

Thats interesting. How much is a D-Roc standard 4 string in Canada? They are $1855 USD here in the US. Thats equivalent to $2526 CAD.

This may be a noob question, but I’m having a hard time finding out what the difference is between the Combustion and NG series. They look very similar.

Is it only the electronics?

Pretty much. Other than that, NGs have a specific pickguard. And of course, color runs are different.

NG is just a signature Combustion, it still has the Combustion name on the headstock. They are more same than different.

Body woods, pre amps, finishes

What Nate says! I have both and the body woods (ash vs alder) and
the preamps ( EMG vs Darkglass) makes a significant difference in the tone. I find the stock Combustion smoother, a more bass forward sound ( R&B, soul, hip hop) as opposed to the NG that’s more mid forward and aggressive (rock, hard rock, metal). There’s a definite crossover in that I can dial in either type of sound with either bass - that’s how versatile these models are and how powerful the preamps are

Yep. I got burned by a popular UK shop with the heavy filter on a used ABZ.

It's a shame, because they end up with a bunch of cool Dingwalls, but after two sub-par dealings, I'll never buy from them again.

Yeah. Older one with square pickups. The finish is person was not great, and the set up was horrible.
