Dingwall Owners Club

Not sure I would have removed the headstock bar (the string retainer). It's there for a reason. Also, don't think it makes it look racy at all.

After further research I agree with you and have reinstalled. I also found a previous post in this thread that detailed proper adjustment for this retainer. Lower the retainer until the lowest and highest strings just make minimal to no contact. It is essentially working on the middle strings only. If anyone knows differently please advise.

We get Dingwall Club NUMBERS?? I just got another at Christmas....do I get four numbers? Lol image.jpeg

.....so my Dingwall family:
AB1 5'er red flame maple top, maple neck and rosewood FB,
Custom ordered trans red/black burstABZ 4 string ash, wenge, wedge with white pearl inlays,
Super PJ 4 string alder with maple neck and pau ferro FB,
and my new Christmas gift (after trading in my new Fender RI'63 P) and upgrading it to a ...
Super PJ black 4 string ash, maple maple with black pearl inlays.
...each has its own amazing quality. Surprisingly, the two Super PJ's have a noticeable tonal difference (I'd say the wood differences make that, although I know there's huge discussions that wood doesn't make tonal difference....I may tend to disagree) :)

Thanks Ken! Pretty happy with the addition. :) ....if only I had the gonads to Frankenwall one. Lol...I don't see a reason to mess with them though...pretty much perfection. :)

At one time I pondered removing the Glock pre and running each pickup of my P/J through a Redeemer Circuit buffer and have V/V control, but arrived at the same conclusion. Why mess with perfection?

So you're the one who bought it!
I checked that one out at L+M Markham - I went back to take another look and it was gone - beautiful bass - congratulations!
Good to see another Dingwall fan nearby - we are neighbours - I am in Brooklin
