Dingwall Owners Club

Yeah, but how many amp rides did you get to provide?? Inquiring minds want to know.:hyper: Oh wait, you meant that literally, not figuratively!
There were 3-4 brave ladies, but it was a bit of a fiasco and seemed kinda creepy afterward, when we watched the video of the show.

This one in the classifieds is calling to me so much. Gah. I really want to support Sheldon by purchasing one new, but I'm also a cheap ass....

You SHOULD BUY THIS!!!!! Sheldon's an awesome guy - he will forgive you!! He knows I've bought 3 from him already - he has a customer for life. ;)
Hah. I would if I could. I'd have to sell my V2/V3 Combustion and probably my Spector Euro 5 LX though. Even then...hard to convince myself to do it. The Combustion would be easy to let go... the Spector, even though never played, looks awesome on the wall xD

lol...I know - I hear ya. That's my problem with this AB1...it just sits there lookin pretty. Every day I walk by it and I just cant justify looking at it and NOT using it ...the 5th string becomes a thumb rest and a mental block for me. ughhh :(

Do it!
That red is dead-sexy!

Also for people looking at Afterburner 1's this one has some stuff you don't normally see, since it's fairly early in the AB timeline.

-Push/pull for the BluEQube.
-FD-1's for pickups
-1 Piece neck.

...I also have a sneaking suspicion that this one might be a 'soft maple body'. The rest of the details would point to the era where that was the standard. So it has some nice differences for someone who already has an AB and wants a different flavor or someone who wants what's become sort of a 'rare bird' Afterburner.

GOOD EYE! Appreciate the spreading of the info. I didn't spec the body wood in my ad, because honestly I wasn't 100% sure - so I didn't want to make a misleading claim. :) I think you are correct though! AND it weighs just less than 8.5lbs!! My two Super PJ's are 3oz less and they are FOUR stringers!! Crazy light weight for a 5! (I think - balances amazing too!) Thanks again!! :)

The shop may be able to tell you what the body is made of. I point it out because these features may mean something to some people in one direction or another. I've had Alder, ash and mahogany bodied Dingwalls of several models and they've all got their own vibe and feel. Some who don't like the feel of neck seams may enjoy a once piece neck.

I would guess that there are probably fewer of these out there than there are the 'current' format AB's.
