Dingwall Owners Club

In case anyone has not been scared off from BuffaloBobs Australian Purchase Problems :) .... here's a nice Z3 for sale here in OZ. Note it's not mine but I wish it could be...... with the favorable AUD - US dollar ratio at the moment it might be a good buy for you US guys?

That's a beauty. No need to be scared off. I can help anyone out with the information required to eliminate the entire delay I experienced. Just PM me.

Lol. With the current gov. Here I've been considering relocating south. Funny thing is Saskatchewan probably has the best government in all of Canada currently. Maybe we should all just move there. ;)

Uhhhhh.... that isn't correct but I don't want to wade into politics any further.

@Thumper most definitely remove the connections at the rotary. I wouldn't cut the wires if it was my bass (and neither would Dingwall if they replaced it).

That is a beauty trinity you have there.

Thank you. So if you have four, then what do you call it?

I tend to play this one a little more because it seems to have a deeper tone.

I hope you know you just inspired some paint-peeling riffs using my Super J and my Gen 1 Darkglass B3K, the latter of which had lain unused for several months. My family does not thank you, however.

Glad to be of service...more to follow :bassist:

Does anyone know how the Ptone output compares to FD3 output. E.g., would it make a better bridge PUP in the bridge PUP solo'd rotary setting.

Not sure about output, but I'd think the neck position would be preferred just due to the typical P position. Has anyone ever tried placing a P-tone in the bridge position?

The P tone is wired in series and is therefore higher output, all else being equal. I was able to balance the output on my ABZ by lowering the P tone pickup to increase the distance between it and the strings.
