Dingwall Owners Club

The Dingwalls set off the fEarful 15/6/1 build. Not many 15" drivers will do what the 3015LF does, and the Dingwalls have an amazingly wide spectrum of usable frequencies.

The B string (tuned down to B flat) never sounded, or felt, this good, and the whole package was like getting a new amp thrown in for free. I never got this much out of the GK 1001 with any other cabs, or any other basses.

The bar has been set quite a bit higher!

Here is my Dingwall AfterburnerII 5-String. I adore this bass. Been playing a Precision since 1973 and still love it, but Sheldon has opened new doors for me...:)

Do I get a member number?

:)

I've been a Dingwall owner for a little while, but haven't had time to dig around this thread (though I frequent the Dingwall forums quite a bit).

Right now I've got 4 Dingwalls, though I'm selling my Voodoo Prima (see the classifieds).

Afterburner II-5 Fretted Arbutus Top/Walnut
Afterburner II-5 Fretless Bubinga
Super J-4 Natural w/Baltic Amber pickguard

Voodoo Prima (pre-fire) Yellow Quilted Maple (front and back)/Walnut

Hello Dingwall comrades,
first of all, I would like to wish you all a merry christmas and a happy new year.

However, the reason of my post is the following:
I have to record on monday, so I need to change strings and this will be the 1st time changing strings to my ABZ.

Do I have to use any kind of product to clean the maple fingerboard and satin finished body or should I only use a clean cloth?

Thank you,
Iván

IIRC, someone said lemon oil was bad for maple fingerboards. Could someone confirm this?

I´ll put dingwall strings on it. Bough 3 sets :D

Read Invalid Link Removed, you might find it interesting. There is a message from Sheldon about maintaining ABZs that mentions nothing about maple fretboards. But that's all I could find :hmm:

If your ABZ is fairly new I wouldn't do any oiling or waxing, especially right before the studio. ;)
