Peavey T-40 can sound like a dozen different basses including a Ric.
Peavey Dyna Bass 5 (1991 Version Shown with Flat-top Humbuckers) (not the Super Ferrites) My close to 30 year player. Gigged with since '91 and wished Peavey made them still with the same config. Astounding bass.
Aussie made Maton Jumbuck 4 Pro Fretless with Gloss finish (JB4 Pro) (Bad top pic mine..2nd pic from the net) Body made from Aussie Sassafras, Rock Maple neck, fingerboard Black African Ebony.

Indeed, between my brother and I, we have a Pentabuzz and MVP5. Both incredible instruments. I kinda always figured that Pedulla would be around forever. Glad to have picked these up when we did!
I also own a MIM Fender Deluxe Active Jazz Bass, now discontinued.
This one has tone to die for, and is by far the best JB I've ever had, much better than my now gone Fender American Deluxe V.
Only addition on it is a Hipshot Kick-ass bridge, all the rest is stock.

Had one of those. Loved the tone but the scale and neck didn't do it for me
I'd totally build a bass around that pickup though
At first I thought exactly the same, but it takes a little to get used to. Now I really love it.
Fender Modern Player Jazz 5. Two double jazz pickups. Played one once. Should have purchased it! Seemed like it could be the poor man's Roscoe Beck V.
I wonder how many threads I can work this pic into, lol- this will make three. Picked it up yesterday. What a great bass! I'm surprised it didn't do better in the market.

Had a black one of those, but traded it for this; more up my ally (minus the crystal glued to the headstock;
)...
I just purchased this on Regurge. Should have it before Friday. I have a feeling this will be one of my favorite discontinued basses for a while
