Dishonesty/Deception in band promotion

He's an idiot, there's no doubt.

If he's (apart from this) a pretty good guy, and a definite asset to the band, then I'd read him the riot act in no uncertain terms, and if he does anything like it again, then fire him.

I don't see it as a fireable offense, and I'm sure he's just rolling in penis pics now so the joke really is on him. Myself and several other band members have already said we'll let it slide this one time just to show him that it's not going to do anything for the band.

I didn't seek out the posting, he sort of showed it off to everyone in the band like the cat that got the cream.

so am I the only one who thinks this is genius? I mean what could go wrong?

It is funny, that's for sure. But is he a genius? Uh, no.

If he were a genius, he'd have posted as a: millionaire, looks like a model and plays in a rock band, looking for hot women for partying and casual sex, for his ad—thus filling the club with hot gold-digging desperate women, instead of perverted, sweaty, desperate loser guys.

Just kidding. He'd still be an idiot.

I mean what could go wrong?
Well, here's one thing that could go wrong:

While unlikely, it's possible that a woman fitting the description could get assaulted, and, if that happened, he might be held responsible. At the very least he'd be in a very uncomfortable situation answering a lot of police questions, and might even have to get himself a lawyer. And, if any of this were to happen, it's even likely that it would get into the paper as something done by their band.

And that would definitely feel like something which had gone wrong.
