Ditto X2 (or other stereo looper)

Hey everyone,

As part of my electronics rig I am making a little loop section and I have a question:

If I have a stereo looper and run my bass into Left input and out the Left output into channel 1 of my mixer and have my guitar into the Right input of the looper and out the right output into channel 2 will they remain completely isolated from each other?

This way I can use only one looper (space is tight!) and pull parts in and out via my mixer..

Any recommendations? the Ditto looks pretty spot on.. I don't really want anything too complicated like some of the boss ones and the ditto's reverse function is always fun....

I'm looking at loopers too. I ideally want one with midi synch but those bad boys seem to be large and expensive. I don't think the X2 has midi synch, but the form factor is ideal. Any other options?

ah i looked into the midi sync ones for a while I wanted it to be able to record for 16 beats or whatever at the press of a button like my kaosspad or an mpc but couldn't find one that worked well with a footswitch.
I think roland/boss released something at NAMM but I may be mistaken..

Far too much functionality for me I just want to be able to have 2 isolated channels and a small footprint. midi would be great as im using it with sequencers and stuff but I can live without

Have you checked out the latest generation of digitech jammans? They have a new feature called jam sync. So you can connect two loopers together like two jamman express pedals or a solo xt and an express. I would think that would be more ideal for you're specific purpose using both guitar and bass and keeping the signals seperated.
