DIY Lightweight Composite Cab Build

She's done. Finally!
I finished up the corners, handle, and grill. Then I put everything together and gave the cab a quick test run with a CD player. Everything seams to be working fine.
I put the cab up on a fish scale that my neighbor let me borrow and got 24lbs. I got 23 on my bathroom scale. Neither are super accurate, but since thaey are closes I have to assume I won't be off by very much. When I get a chance I'll bring it into work to weigh it on a fancy shipping scale.
I will have to wait until my rehearsal next Tuesday to test it out in a band setting.
My goal was a 25lbs 210, and to quote the great G.W. Bush, "Mission Accomplished!".
I'll be sure to post some pics tomorrow.

we need sound clips I'm very curious
I'm in the market for a 210 soon
I've heard a few requests for sound clips and I have to say I don't get it. Am I the only one who thinks that a recording of a cab will give you no real idea for how it will sound live? I mean, the room, the mic, the recording media, and the playback system will all color the true sound.
I could make a recording, but I don't see it doing anything but confusing and misleading people. Please correct me if I'm wrong and I'll gladly post one.
It will give some reference, please do. You can't make something like this and just make us imagine what it sounds like.
Besides as much as you say it will colour it, it won't sound TOTALLY different unless there is some distortion. It may be effected a bit but thats it. i've used crappy mics to record some stuff and it still carries the tone, albeit a bit altered it sounds relatively the same.
Do you have another cabinet that you can record as a 'reference'? Then we could compare that cab to your DIY cab.

Zac I've always used this as an ultimate test for panel vibrations - take the corners off, place the cab on a wooden floor on its longest side, play a song through it that has a heavy kick-drum, then turn it up gradually until it's LOUD. If the cab starts bouncing around or walking across the room, you've got vibrating panels. Crude but effective!
If you don't have wooden floors, put a glass of water on the cab and/or a quarter on its side and then turn it up.

You're quite right. I've had similar requests regarding my cabs.
Your 24lbs 2x10" makes my 35lbs 1x15" seem like a heavyweight! Nice work.

Parts? Labor?
Basically scare me with some numbers about how this is too expensive and that I should just wait until there are commercially available featherweight cabs.
Seriously. My wife will be thoroughly unthrilled if I take up fiberglass construction in the garage. Tell me this is a $3,000 cab or something scary.

How sturdy is it? will it hold it's own weight up (basically, could you stack 2 of these cabs on each other without any panel buckling?).
Would you sit on it? I was just wondering.
It doesn't have to be a wooden floor. As long as it's not carpet or anything grippy, any hard flat floor surface will do.
I guess I was unclear. I meant ALL of it: like the drivers, tweeters, handles, carpet, crossover, stuffing...etc. And how many hours (approximately) did it take?
All I saw in the above link was the material cost for the raw box, before all the goodies went in to turn it into a cab.
I would also like to know the approx cost to build one of theses. Ballpark figure would do at this point.
