Do I shower?

That's ridiculous! I, too, am subjected to too much smoke at a regular jam I attend, and I can assure you a change of clothes is not going to get rid of the smell from your hair at the very least...

After one of these smoke-filled jams, a shower is mandatory before my wife will let me come to bed (which is fine with me as I can't stand the cigarette-smoke stench either).

A doctor with a "neck through thumb", that must be a tight squeeze.

Surely being a doctor he can extricate his own neck from his thumb... Physician, heal thyself!

Lung-transplant doctor who smokes... has he got a "Certificate of Hypocrite" to practice such idiocy?

To wash the blood off of your nose?.....

Ha! I was just making a joke based on all the band management threads (and the running joke therein) about the correct answer always being "fire the drummer".

I figured by default if you fire everybody else once you have to fire the drummer twice.

Yep! get it.....Just thinking that the said drummer may be just a little pissed after being fired twice...

They don't always go as quietly as we might like ....That's all....:D

Had the Darkglass Tone Capsule preamp installed in one of my basses a year or so ago. The shop that took care of the installation (which included carving out some wood to make room for the preamp... otherwise I probably would have done it myself...) smelled of about 30 years of smoking indoors. I'm not kidding - it was horrible. Had to leave my MONO gigbag out on the balcony for about a week to get rid of the stench. The bass turned out great, though.
