Sure they will, I've put several things on layaway that were clearance! I started to put the Warwick on layaway and they said no problem but I just ended up buying it.

Ran over to the GC in Des Moines today over lunch. They have 2 4 string corvette's in red for $650 and a 5 string in black for $699. They also had a fender USA jazz for $650 and a MiM fender jazz for $299. Woman would kill me though

Called up one of my "local" GC's today, and they had a Corvette Standard for I think $629 or so. Their cheapest $$, which is what I'm really looking for, was $1100 though

I will try to post a copy of my receipt later tonight. Take it to you local non-dealing GC and shove it in their face!!! I hate that so much, it's now all about the local mgr and comission hungry sales staff. If I bought one for 750, they CAN sell you one for the same price!!

I hate not having money. I would grab one in a heartbeat. Saw a $$ 5 string for $1200 at GC. They are killing me. Of course I could always NOT walk in and that might help. :scowl:

I know man, the fact that I can't have a job during the school year just KILLS me when Guitar Center decided to do this sort of thing. I ADORE the $$ Corvette.

Thanks for the heads up. Went out to my local GC today and scored one for $850.00. A little more but hey, it's the same one I have been eyeballing for the past month that used to have a tag on it for $1999.00. I'm pretty amped about it!

This is the third thread I've seen on this! Glad people are getting good deals on some nice Warwicks. I got this Warwick Corvette 5 for 675$ out the door yesterday at GC!

you'd be right. The $$ is the beasty with the "size 10 belt buckles on a size 5 cowboy" MM pickups.

It's a clever set up though because you can select the outer coils on the humbuckers to get a jazz p/up tone, then with a flick of a switch you have one or both of them in full humbucking mode.

Serious dexterity in tone and the neck is comfy I'm just unbelievably arsed off because not long ago my dad paid full price for it as my 18th birthday present, he could have saved himself a small fortune by the looks of things.
