Do this NOW... No kidding.... $750 Warwick

And I know I am annoying some of you Warwick guys with my posts... But I mean come on this is the most obvious phallic guitar thing since the Kramer Banana headstock... It's even more over the top because if you cut it off the bass, you could sell it in a sex shop. Chicks could use that part of the bass.

I'd love to have been there when the designer came up with that part of the instrument... maybe it was designed by a woman...

Ya not annoyng me personally,I cant speak for others though.
The first time I saw a Thumb & A Corvette,I instantly thought,Big dick bass,little dick bass.I mean,who wouldnt?
But it lasted all of 5 minutes. If I started obsessing over it I'd be questioning my orientation I think.
As for selling it in a sex shop,I think there's alot safer things for a chick to go to town on that a piece of wood. But then,I've led a pretty sheltered life so maybe I'm way off.
If ya cant have a laugh now & then, what's the bloody point eh?;)

I played a ton of basses at my local GC last weekend, looking for a new bass to get back into it after about 8 years......

The Warwick Corvette std. Ash 5-string was by far my favorite for a number of reasons, but the retail was marked $1249 so I was about to settle for the Ibanez SR505 (nice bass as well, I just didn't like the small neck and terrible finish) when I asked the sales dude if the Warwick was on sale. To my surprise, it was for $674 :hyper:

I didn't have the extra 100 bucks so I asked if I could put it in lay-away, and he said "Sorry, we can't lay-away a clearance item":bawl:

Needless to say, I was very disappointed and about to leave when he said "Let me see how long those Warwicks are on sale for.......Hmm, Mar. 31st. Let me talk to my manager"

He comes back with a big smile on his face and says "No problem, we can do that!":hyper:

This will be the longest week of my life waiting to get it, but I know it will be worth the wait. I know it's not a $$ or Thumb, but I'm proud to be (almost) a part of the Warwick family.

I brought up a pic of it for my wife to see and she said "Oh!!! that looks fun" I didn't think anything of it, but now I'm wondering if I should lock it up while I'm at work. :help: :D

Anyway, nice forum and community, glad to be here and almost playing again.

Alright, post your receipts if you have purchased a new warwick. I'm tired of our bass brothers getting bent over in some cities and not others! Here is my receipt for a brand new $$ warwick five string:

That's for this bass:

Now go to GC and punch someone in the face repeatedly until they sell you a cheap warwick $$ - - not the passive model, not a rock bass - - the $$.

this is so sweet, im working out a deal right now with th gc in sac and rosevill. They are 950 there, and theyre trying to get a deal going on so i might be able to drive down there and

what does any body think about just the standard 5 string ones?

theyre going for under 650 i think at GC

I think they are AMAZING! Obviously the $$ is active and sounds incredible but I don't care for the combined humbuckers, I need a gap in there!
