Am I the only one who sees that scary-ass hole in the water?

Oh, and I'm voting carrots because I very rarely drink actual water. I will say when I do drink some, it's bottled.

Dam big hole I tell ya! Apparently those are called bell mouth spillways and used to drain the dam if the water level gets too high.

Yes, At home in Rhode Island The tap water is absolutely delicious. Here at college in Southern Maryland it's a bit more chlorinated, but I still drink it, I try to avoid using bottled water whenever I can.

I've seen the official water quality reports for the water in my area, so there's no way I'd drink that stuff. We have a water filter on the 'fridge, so that's what we drink.

Yes. Anyone seen the documentary "Tapped"?

Yep. Eye opening.

Artesian wells occur when the groundwater table (top of the groundwater) intersects the ground surface resulting in water "springing" forth from the ground. It's how our neighbor cities Artesia and Fountain Valley got their names.

For those not familiar with the various cities that make up the Los Angeles metropolitan area, Artesia does have the appearance of a place you would find good water. Highly carcinogenic industrial waste? Yes. Clean, pure water? No.
