Do you give names to your basses?

I want to ask you, because I do. My only bass is called Saywyn, I think giving of names will make you a lot more familiar with your bass.... So, do your basses have some names?

Ibanez SR300DXL is "Gloria" (the one I love and trust or as my buddy puts it "my main squeeze")
Ibanez ASB140 "Lucy"
SX Jazz fretless "Rosie" or "Rosana"
Dean Edge 5 "Holley"
My acoustic Mann 6 string "Jacqui"
My Ibanez 6 string electric "Heidi"

These are simply names that I like

My Ibanez Fretless: "Therese", after a really hot chick i know.
Homebulit, HEAVY 2x12" cab: "Sigrun", after my mother.
Fender P-Bass 5: "Anita" after a girl i had a crush on
Bass amp: "Turid", by the drunk guitarist
Guitar amp: "Marsha", simply 'cus it's a marshall
Peavey guitar: "Pee-way", because i hate it.

When I'm being particularly ham-handed I sometimes CALL them names.

Well come on, I have blame SOMEBODY.

My bass is usually named after whatever girl I date, they really think I'm into to them if I name a bass after them... But it does change from time to time shhh.... it's a secret!

The Grabber is called "Nat [the punk bass]" - in the neck pocket someone, probably one of the builders, left the name there. It's not really suited for punk that much, but I call her the punk bass becuase i know she can take a helluva beating, and she'd still keep going. That bass is solid!

The G3 is called Meems - named after a girl, Michelle that I was seeing. That'll probably change, tho.

I call my amp the [mini] Greener. However, once I get more money, it'll no longer be the mini booger.

Damn! I just realized my bass count is really low - I've been selling them and not replacing them fast enough.

I don't know why I name them...I just do.
