Yep not real big into naming inanimate objects for some reason. I don't think it makes them any less familiar to me.

My Bongo is Thor, and my upright is Laura.

Corbis said:I name them after girlfriends of the bandmembers. I've made a list of all the things I can say here it is:
"man I have to go rub wax all over Claire's body tonight"
"Man I loving running my hands up Claire's neck"
"Mmmm Claire's G string is so nice"
"Claires backside is so smooth, I just love running my hands over it."
"I love messing around with Claire before I go to sleep"
"Mmmm I love figureing Claire" "
"Claire really gives me the that big bottom end that I want"
"I love messing around with Claire before I go to sleep"
"I love running my hands Claire's front"
"Maybe I'll go home today and play with Claire on my bed"
"I love having Claire in my arms" or
"I just love putting new G strings on Claire"
"Claire gets so loud sometimes that I get a headache"
"I took Claire to school today and all the guys took turns passing her around"
"Don't worry man for like 1500 bucks you could take Claire home too"

My Kubicki is called "Excalibur", pretty much because I obssessed over it for months in the shop window like Wayne from Wayne's World, before finally buying the thing.
My Rickenbacker fretless is called "Diefenbaker", because, well, it sounds like Rickenbacker. Sort of. Pretty lame reason, actually.
I still have my first bass, which is a beat-up old Hohner Arbor precision. It's called "The Rumblehammer", because I thought that kind of thing was rad when I was 17. I recently dug it out for gigs when Excalibur was being repaired by Phil.
I also picked up a Stagg 5-string a couple of years ago, just to mess around with. It's called "Bambi" (Stagg - geddit?) but I guess I should rename it "Worthless Pile of Crap". Because that's what it is.
I also have plans to get another Kubicki in a few months (got some decent cash coming my way, mmmmm). I shall dub thee "Stormbringer", perforce, for I am geeky like that.
