My girlfriend expressed interest in learning how to play guitar, though she only wanted to do so if it was an instrument I made. I don't think she knows much about the Telecaster, but she seems to be quite taken with the Strat.

So I'll make it like the Hello Kitty strat, except a smaller scale.

no pics, but I have a 2x4 thats about 24" long with a piece of computer used for the bridge, two leftover tuners for the 2 count em 2 strings. One pbass pickup I bought off ebay for $15. No volume or tone. Cable attached. I actually only use it to trigger an envelope for a synth. A few times I have plugged it in to a fuzz and an amp and used it as a drone.

It's not super crazy, and it's not super rare, but it's my baby! And I love it!

Fender Jazz neck, with a completely HOME MADE from scratch thunderbird body. Not bought, not ordered. Carved, and fitted with parts, and made with custom belly and arm contours the other T-Birds are sometimes missing! So it's built specifically for me, and it's one of a kind.

Whew! I been wanting to post for a while. I peek in from work but can't post(I think can't see a lot of pics either) and then end up doing other stuff once I get home(working on current instrument project).

So finally, this is my attempt at a traditional bass(If I can get pics of my others up it will make more sense). A lefty 5-string.

Neck: Moses MM 5 with a re-shaped headstock(it just seemed huge before...my other basses are headless, that could explain something)

Body: Maple with Koa(the top strip transitions naturally from brown to blonde...I like that sort of thing)

Bridge: Hohner Steinberger licenced

Pick-up: Seymour Duncan Basslines MM style

String Stops: carriage bolts with a hole drilled thru them

No Vol/Tone: I learned a long time ago that if I wasn't sure where to put them I was better off leaving them off(or live with the regret...especially when letting the wood show).
