The instrument should be in your hands or in its case.
YMMV.

Wow!I do have a bass room. Occasionally we use it as a living room as well.

Yes. I've had one for years. Wherever I live, I always set up one room as "my office" and one corner of it is dedicated to my bass practice area.I have. It's my escape from the world.
It's a third bedroom, could be a kids bedroom but that aint gonna happen cos I'm gay.
Like a boys garage, do you have an escape pod bass area?
You nailed it!WELL!!That's actually the look I'm going for. I've already exceeded the one closest to me by 30% at least.

The upstairs of my home is my music room. Here's the main area.

One of the bedrooms up there also has a drum kit in it.

Same deal here - wasn't planned. We just happen to have been getting ready to Brady Bunch 5 kids and 2 adults at the beginning of the economic crash. And even big houses out in the sticks go for less than in the city. It's a blessing I like being able to share with my bandmates considering how much some groups struggle to find space, any decent space. Thanks guys. My wife and I were fortunate to get a much larger home than we needed at a tremendous price. That leaves me with enough space to claim the entire upstairs for all my instruments.
