Plenty of guitars, no friendsEven if you don't play, do you have a guitar in case a friend drops over and a spontaneous jam breaks out?
I've intentionally quit playing guitar since I started playing bass a year ago, but yes, I've kept a cedar top Seagull on tap for about 37 years. If anyone who plays guitar, my friends or the kids' friends, drop by they always pick it up. Medium strings make it sound great and the circle sound hole is sort of oval now due to hours of heavy handed pick playing, especially mine.
I have no guitars.Even if you don't play, do you have a guitar in case a friend drops over and a spontaneous jam breaks out?
GUITARMAN: You got a guitar?
JERRY: A guitar?
GUITARMAN: Yeah. a guitar.
JERRY: No, I don't play guitar.
GUITARMAN: Yeah, you don't play guitar? How about a ukulele?
JERRY: No, I don't have--
GUITARMAN: You don't have a ukulele?
JERRY: Well, I don't normally--
GUITARMAN: Who doesn't have a ukulele?
JERRY: I don't.
GUITARMAN: You buy a cheap ukulele from online, you put it in the closet, you forget about it.
Then later on when you need it, it's there. It lasts forever. It's a ukulele.
JERRY: Really? I'll have to remember that.
No. Only if I somehow keep it in my house for transporting reson otherwise it all sits in my private rehearsing room.Even if you don't play, do you have a guitar in case a friend drops over and a spontaneous jam breaks out?
I will be your friend. I bet that your Les Paul sounds absolutely killer through the Vox!View attachment 3244125
Plenty of guitars, no friends
I read your post and it made me sad for the Martin I too have sitting in a case untouched. Like the sword of Excalibur, someday a worthy guitarist player will come and pull it from its case.I admit it's a pretty sad existence for a guitar in my house.
