My first Fender was an Oly White ‘71 Fender P; barely visible in this 1972 photo.
After that bass, I tended more towards natural finishes or Black, which I prefer for a Jazz Bass.
Then, about two years ago, while trying to sort out a 5 string to my liking, I bought a trans white / ash body from eBay as part of a build, which turned out quite to my liking.
I originally thought I’d have it shot either black or vintage Shoreline Gold. But, the trans white has kind of grown on me. I kind of feel like this bass found me, vs the other way around. So, it’s likely to stay this way. Pretty much my numero uno 5 string, because Fender. And it plays /sounds great.
