My tech agrees that my white bass is a marvelous instrument.

Lots of people like them, but I find them boring. Ditto black. Not a single one of the basses shown in this thread does anything for me.

Really Depends, White needs to be kept clean, looks awful with chips & lil specks(boogers) everywhere, Like with black and fingerprints & smudges. need to keep them clean. My problem with white is when it starts to age (yellow) it looks dingy & crusty, like underwear just not into it. they can be bland, but as I 've seen here with right accessories they can look fantastic!

That reminds me of a picture that was in one of the first Bibles I ever had...

Something with Abraham, but God intervened at the very last moment. Did God intervene here, too... ?

He decided it was best

Oh yes, talk about the miracle surprise child.
Her big sister is 22. Help me lord.

Yes, I do! Put together a 5 string earlier this year, '08 neck, '18 body, love it. Still sporting the original mint guard, I was going to go w/b/w guard, we;ll see, I'm still digging the mint.

I also have a '72 P bass, the Oly white to yellow transformation, not a very good pic, but all I have now. I have a deep love of John Wetton, he put the image of a white bass in my head originally...

I agree with other posters, goes with any color clothes (I also play black and natural basses). I tend to wear black with the band that I play the 5 in, white always looks nice against the black.

My first bass was a white Hohner w/ purple pickguard. Never again.
Although - the pickguard may have been the bigger issue..
If I'm ever getting a bass with a solid color, it's likely something like lake placid blue + perloid pickguard.
Last basses have all been natural or sunburst.

Regards
Mark
