I've owned many white basses over the years and still do. This Stingray-5 H is my favourite, started out when I bought it new as white on white but a few years later I changed it to white and tort and black p/u cover.

No, mainly because they dont age well and show damage very easily. I like white white, not cream, and most basses age to cream. I do like white when it's a matte finish or Mary kay.

for many years i was never a fan of white basses, cuz they looked too clean and bright......But didn't want another sunburst or black bass. Since i like building them, i decided on affinity body platform to satisfy my "GAS"...... It's growing on me and it sounds fantastic with Barts/jazz neck/tusq nut/hipshot bridge along with that maple neck..giving it an ultra bright punchy tone.

i owned two, white, peavey basses once: one fretless, one fretted --- i think they were lightweight "fury" axes --- purchased together as 'a set', but i realized they called for too much attention on the gigs i was playing at the time so i let them go and i haven't owned a white bass since.

but they look great to me! i voted "awesome" --- they're all good, but the white ones get some attention!

The only white bass I every seriously wanted (but couldn’t afford) was a Music Man Cutlass I from the ‘80s. It had belong to someone on tour back then, who came to Dallas, but I cannot remember who. That graphite neck was magical.

I personally love an old Olympic White Jazz, slightly yellowed by smoky rooms of the past. With Tort of course!

I like vintage white, but not white out white. Usually prefer a dark pick guard and in general, I don’t like white pickup covers.
