I play bass (Obviously) as well as Ukulele, Accordion, guitar to a fair standard and a little bit of piano. I'll write something on one of them, and then use it as an exercise to write new bass lines

Played flute for something like 5 years in school band, recently started playing it once more. Play both soprano and alto recorder. Bought a cheap electronic piano to work out new songs on, as well as a electric guitar, but don't play either very well. ( people here complain about guitarists playing bass like it was a guitar - well, I play guitar like a bassist...heh.) most of my time is spent with bass guitar. Some day I would love to learn electric upright bass ... No room in the house for an acoustic double bass, unfortunately.

Double bass (I dabble anyway)
Mandolin, although I've largely forgotten anything I've ever learnt on it

I've also attempted saxaphone, flute and a few other instruments.

Back when I had the time to work on my musical doodles I used my rudimentary skills on guitar and piano to fill out my home recordings. I have a few odd percussion instruments that I like to mess with, my favorite being a log drum, similar to this:

Woodwind major in College with a 2nd in piano. Played slide trumbone and baritone horn in concert bands and acoustic guitar / ukelle. I started taking bass serious in High school back in the 70's. I have always found though that many guitarist who then turn to bass still play with a guitar mentality. The bass is an entity of its own and must be addressed that way. Through that stinking pick away.

Besides electric bass (primary), I also play string bass and french horn. I used to be a good, solid hornist, but I let it slide due to work/family commitments. (I couldn't devote time to all three and I was earning a living with the EB & SB.) I'm trying to resurrect the horn, but it's a long, hard slog getting back to where I used to be.

I started as a guitar player about 5-6 years ago, picked up bass two years after because I fell in love with my Michael Kelly, and started cello a few months ago, as well as trying to sing and minor percussion (hitting the guitar, cajon, things of that nature).
