Depends on the subject matter, whether I can either glean some useful information, or if I have something I can add to to the discussion.

My favorite is when it’s a post like, “Post a photo of your bass!” And the person writes 8 paragraphs on the background of the bass and how he found it… I just scroll to the photo.

I am quite happy to read long posts, but it’s not because I don’t have anything better to do. Your posts, long or short, are worthy of being scroll past though.

I used to write long posts. I think it's sad that "engagement" rather than informational value is the metric, but that's the internet. It's an endless cesspool with little value.
