When I'm just starting to learn the song I sit so that I can restart the song/check tabs quicker. Once I'm confident I stand up so I can change how my fretting hand feels.
^^^^^This is exactly what I do.

I practice both ways, but it really depends on what I'm practicing. If I'm just fingering through a song or something then I'm not against just chilling on the floor or something, but when I'm really practicing I like to stand up because that's how I really play.

My body just doesn't have the right proportions to sit and play at the same height as when i stand and play.

ok, after reading all your replies, I found a spot and a position to practice at home, just like standing... I can rest my foot on the amp.

Actually the mirror you have in your picture is another good tool to watch yourself play as the audience sees you. I found it confusing at first as I know the notes I'm playing, it just looks like I'm playing them somewhere else on the neck when I see the reflection. But as with many things, it's a mind adjustment thing, and once you get it you just play better.
Poll? And I stand up every single time. I figure I need to learn to play it the same way I'm gonna be playing it in the long run.
