Thanks for the replies but, I guess my point to the post is that, I'm trying to set up my effects here at home so that they work and sound like I want them to and just be able to take them out to a gig or rehearsal and plug in without worrying about level matching.
So, I guess what I'm asking is, what seems like the logical thing to do is to set it up with the bass volume maxed but then, it would always have to stay that way or else lowering the output volume on the bass would adversely affect the operation of the effects
I've just been going straight into the amp so, this hasn't been an issue but, I just purchased a wireless unit and am waiting for it to arrive and since I have to have SOMETHING between me and amp, I figure, let me connect all effects even though they won't all be active all the time but, I sort of would like to have them there if the need arises.
And so, this got me thinking how to connect and operate the whole mess.
So, it's really an effects issue and not really a end level issue that I'm concerned with.
What about a volume pedal POST effects? Bass volume maxed with all the effects tweaked to operate properly, always leave it like that and THEN eff with my own output level to the amp or board with a volume pedal? Anyone do that?
I think I'm making this more complicated than it should be, right?
Thanks for any input.
