I do not like Apple Watches or any of them smart watches. If you really have to keep a tab of your hearth rhythm etc, get a Withings Scan Watch. They look fashionable too.

Or just put your finger on the little artery right behind your ear and count beats while the second hand on your watch sweeps 15 seconds.

I have never worn a watch, on either wrist while playing. I occasionally, in homage to Keef, will wear a " handcuff " bracelet on my left wrist, but even that doesn't stay on all night.

Sorry, that's weird. A band leader banned members from wearing a watch because it made them look like busy people. Does not make sense. I can understand a band of leader banning shorts and flip flops on stage, but a wrist watch?

I found as I got older, I would wear a watch to bed because my eyesight was bad enough that I couldn't read a clock that was 3 ft away on a nightstand. But on my wrist? No problem! So these days, about the only time I don't wear a watch is in the shower.

It's fine. From 18 to 54 year old, I thought the consensus for artists was to avoid wearing cloths or accessories that would break the charm (watch, wedding ring, etc.). Now I understand I was wrong. My bad. Only stupid people don't recognize their mistakes

Yes. I've always worn a watch while playing. What I don't like to wear is rings, but that's another topic.

For many years I thought a watch would be an obstruction in my playing. Until last week… I wore an old Tag Heuer with a metal band and after an hour of playing realized I had left it on.

I'm sporting the ultimate prole watch: A Timex Galli S1 38mm, with an inverness green sunburst dial and Miyota 9039 4Hz movement. The unusual band is excellent for bass playing because there's no chance of scraping anything up.
