Does anybody just plug and play anymore?

I finally found my sound... Don't want to mess it up with a bunch of noise that nobody really hears anyway, IMO. Plug & Play for me.

I did use a Zoom bass effects at one time. It sounded great, but was made out of plastic. Damned thing broke, so I just quit bothering with it... more crap to set up and tear down. Then again, there are times I miss the wah, or the octaver... Or the chorus.. or the fuzz... (sigh )

There was a time...long ago and far away...that I used a chorus pedal. Twice, I think.
I've been using the same Snark tuner for the last 5 years.
My Ric through a nice Monster cable into my SWR...and a cold beer.

What mo' could a po' boy ask for?

I'm usually a plug and play kind of person. The only effect I use is a Bass Big Muff. And that's only when the song calls for it. 60% of the time I leave the Big Muff at home, so I just play the part without it.

If I don't feel like dragging out my Pedal Train when I practice at home, yes. Its where my tuner is, so I kinda need it.
I've always had a chorus/flanger and a dirt pedal. I also don't play fender, covers, flats, or sit on root notes pretending there is some mystical honor in confining myself to the "pocket", so there you go.

I do. A Super Bassman into two Orange OBC 115s... That's it.. The only change I ever think about is possibly matching the head to one of its "proper" bassman neo cabs. Either a 410 or 610. Trouble is, no way to find one to demo around here as the music stores around here are pretty sparse as far as selection goes..

I do. I had complicated chains at various times and came to the conclusion that I like less options. Even on my amps...I like a bass, mids, and treble control and thats it. I dont want a 37 band graphic EQ, I dont want preamp upon preamp, I just want a good sounding bass into good amps/cabs.
