yo ! i`ve recently accquired a MOON JB4 from 1994 slope front Bartolini pick ups! . natural wood finish ebony fingerboard in the UK , my question is, how does one adjust the truss rod? no entry in the headstock, and the fingerboard overlaps the end of the neck by about an inch ! surely not taking the neck off !! any idea`s, ta!

Does anybody own a Moon bass?

The truss road adjustment should be at the bottom of the neck Take off the Pickguard there should be slot in the body to get to the bolt. Unless you don't have a Pickguard. In that case you'll have to take the neck off
I still have that bass. It has the 60s pickup position which is not my favorite. I have a bunch of really nice basses with the 70s position that totally nailed that Marcus Miller sound. But without fail every time out the Moon Bass I get a compliment from somebody that it sounds incredible. And it really does sound great. The guys in my band say that's my signature sound. I'm going to have to come to terms with that.
I will definitely never part with that bass and I have been taking it out almost exclusively this whole summer. With my other basses I'm a pretty mediocre version of Marcus Miller but with that Moon bass I'm a pretty good version of me. I still got the Nordies in it, but I switched over to a Bartolini NTBT 18V pre.
No more changes on that bass it is now perfect the way it is.
