    image. image. image. I got this bad boy from a shop in Montreal (in liquidation for a broken knob, and the logo being removed). It was labeled as a Lado H600 fretless, but it seems nothing like what I’ve seen of those online. Any leads?

    I don't have a clue, but it's kinda purdy, y'know? I'm guessing it sounds good too!

    That is strangely cool. I'd rock it. Grain of salt warning;
    : I have been told I'm ugly and that I play ugly basses.

    Awesome score. Probably a hawk.
    Joe is retired now but you can still email from his website. He's spotty getting back though.

    He's now located in the Lindsay Ontario area

    Wonder why somebody took the trouble to scratch off the decal..?

    The wood below looks unharmed.

    Perhaps the water slide decal did not adhere properly to the headstock and is lifting, taking the clear with it?

    Regardless, Lado was a fine builder.

  13. Lados were a Canadian made boutique bass. They were somewhat of a take on the Alembics but had their own unique style. Steve Harris from Iron Maiden played and was endorsed by them around 83. He played the Unicorn model but only for a year or two before going back to his main P bass.

    Reminds me of the old S D Curlee basses from yesteryear.

    Lado made some really nice basses.

    Sweet find! Love getting deals on basses with a "scratch" or a "broken knob"! ;) :thumbsup:
