Are you going to stare at the mark on your bass while you play? I sure hope not! Stare at the pretty girls/guys while you play and enjoy yourself. Practice playing with your eyes closed or in the dark and you will likely never see that mark again. It took me a moment to actually find it...

It doesn't look horrible, end of the day it's and older bass it's not supposed to be perfect, it looks to be getting to job done and that's all you really need, and it's a natural finish so either way it not going to be perfect unless you match it with that wood

It would look much worse, if the bass was painted. Lightly sand it, and dab some clear coat over it.

Sorry for the owie, but reality is the only person it is likely to bother is you. No one else is going to notice. You've exerienced part of the risk of taking it out of the case and you've come up with a reasonable fix.

Nah do not feel that way, it is part of the process when you own a bass, things happen...

I got really big dent in my 70 Jazz bass.(polyester finished)
I try fix it in repair shop but, they said it will take like $160 to 200.
So I fixed myself with CA glue which is loctite401.
Honestly I felt down with that scar.
I hope it looks natually aged.
Does it look artificial?
Unfortunately, it is polyester finished that does not age like lacquer finished so I felt so down.

LOL you keep calling the finish "polyester"... making recall the John Waters film of the same name. I believe you're actually referring to "polyurethane". But it looks fine to me

Correct, it will not. It's a catalyzed coating unlike the old lacquer finishes. It's a hard, very durable paint. Skin and sweat is no match for it. That's why road worn for basses finished with this stuff is from dinging and chipping.

You're started down the path of road worn polyester, but you'll have to decide for yourself if you like this or not.

For me, clear polyester finishes, no. I would get it repaired. But for some solid colors, yes, like my road worn 1980 pbass in black. Every ding and chip was done in transport, bars, house parties, high school auditoriums, belt buckles, or elsewhere.

One thing that looks very out of place is a obvious poly body with a fake lacquer like wear. Poly doesn't wear like lacquer used decades ago.
