Does it offend you when?

I don't really care.. Everbody has his taste, and i don't feel hurt when my bass isn't what they like. My bass is a nice one for my taste, and i'm happy to have the chance to play a bass such a beautiful which deliver a sound i dig.

It sure does! I hate it when people say my bass is ugly! So I hit them in the face with it! Then I say, dang, you dented the bass, now it does look ugly, but you're looking a bit better!

No. But then, I don't appreciate opinions I didn't ask for, and generally ignore them ... whatever they're about.

Yes. In fact, I've been in therapy for a couple of months now because someone told me that my Pedulla thunderbass ET5 looks just like one of "those Victor Bailey basses from Fender". Ya know, bass owners have feelings too!

+1. I remember being at a show where the bass player had a grabber, and some 14 year old next to me told his friend "dude I'm pretty sure that's just some piece of **** peavey bass. I can't believe he can play that crap".

Any uninvited opinion that isnt constructive is meaningless and unnecessary. Unfortunately, the vast majority of humans think only of themselves. Their opinions are an expression of this.
