If I am reading correctly, that is a lot of string crossing under slurs. I might not play it that way, but it definitely is an option. I have a feeling I would have difficulty getting the F#-C# in tune shifting 4-4 across strings. Why not play the C# with 1, since it is already there? Then you just play that slur on the D string

Oh, Mozart 38 1st mvt. right? Qtr=152. I've attached the Zimmerman edition. It looks like he's chosen shifting over multiple string crossings. At that tempo and dynamic I'd lean toward his fingerings with the exception of the last four sixteenths and qtr note (F#-A-G-F#-B) which I'd play on the D string with an extension fingering (1-4-2-1-1, play the last qtr B on the G string). Depends on your hand size, string length etc., but best to avoid the string crossings whenever you can if you're able to shift fast enough.

Mozart 38 1st mvt - correct, thanks all! Shifting vs string crossing is always something that I struggle with, but I guess as mentioned it comes down to ability and more importantly making music!

I'd do the same, except playing each longer note on the G string. So, the 4 short notes on the D, in an "extended position" (up near the break this is very simple), then the longer note on the G string.
