Personally I wear shorts about 360 days of the year. But to me they don't look right onstage unless you are playing an outdoor festival with hippies or at least reggae fans.
I think they are a requirement in a surf band, especially in EncinitasA buddy of mine is doing a surf-band gig tomorrow night in Encinitas - I can see shorts in a surf band.... but otherwise... nah.
