Down with craigs list

I like the gear aspect of craigslist. I've sold a lot of stuff and bought some stuff. Never had a problem.

I have, however, never heard a positive story about the musician's section. Seems like that is pretty much useless.

Past two bands I`ve been in I`ve found through CL. One was a really tight group of guys in their 40`s and we did a lot of crazy progressive rock, and the last band was a college band with a bunch of cool guys. Actually, the lead guitarist from the last band has become one of my best friends. Amazing player and a great guy.

Ive met a few drummers via CL, but none that have really lasted for long. Though, I did meet a really cool synth player, who eventually brought in another symth player and a competant drummer into the fold.

My roommates moved out and took their VCR with them, so we needed a new one. I didnt want to buy a brand new one, and it seems they only come affixed to DVD players these days. I found one in the next city over and the guy wanted $15. I wrote him and asked if he'd take $10 and left my phone number. He called me that night and said sure. The exchange lasted 2 seconds and now I have a VCR.

I've had mostly positive experiences on Craigslist.

My business has been very successful with only craigs advertising.
