I like all of DR strings so you can't go terribly wrong, but I prefer Fatbeams and Pureblues
What does this list even mean?

The Pure Blues are great for slapping.I was a sunbeams fan, but now im a pure blues fan. I'm not much of a slapper, but I think Pure Blues would be too flexible for slapping.
On the chart does S stand for superlative, sucks or something else. Assuming A B C D is for the normal grading key.
Before I spend a lot of money on different sets of DR strings I would like to get some advise for a 5-string set.
So here are my wishes/ingredients:
- Starting with 0.40 maximum on the G
- Hex core or round core?
- Roundwound is a must
- I want a good slap sound on the B-string (for example Something Got Me Started - Simply Red & Sledgehammer - Peter Gabriel)
- Nickel or Stainless?
- Normal or taperwound?
- 120, 125, or 130 B-string?
It's for this bass:
SRMS725 | SR | ELECTRIC BASSES | PRODUCTS | Ibanez guitars
I hope you guys can give me some advise with this info.
Thanks in advance!
Correct.I forget sometimes this is a site that’s in the 50+ range.
S is like another way of saying “The Best” or “God Tier” in gaming terms. Anything below C is considered mediocre or garbage.
Well, Nickel LoRiders should fall in, at least the A range and the Legends should not even be on the list...IMHO, of course. (The query was regarding DR rounds, flats need not apply.)I forget sometimes this is a site that’s in the 50+ range.

Seems like you forgot this site was dedicated to bass and not Fortnite or Gran Turismo.
I would argue that the term S-Tier has entered the cultural lexicon beyond the gaming space, which is not where it even began. I frequently see this system used across a multitude of industries, including those that are bass-related.Seems like you forgot this site was dedicated to bass and not Fortnite or Gran Turismo.
