Dream Cabinet Discussion

I find EV's ratings to be really overrated. I have a set of ETX tops and EKX subs... They get the job done, but, I wouldn't believe their "ratings". Love the sound of the rig - but I don't believe their numbers.
After looking at some other options, I think the Yamaha DZR10 might outperform both the EV's I mentioned and the QSC K12.2.

It is listed at 39.5 lbs. - heavier than I prefer, but I have a heavy-duty, two-wheel handtruck.

I’ll play.

Since last year I’ve been “Dreaming” of the Bergantino NV410T and NV312T cabs. I was lame and didn’t get in on the releases

Happenstance found me, and I have an NV410T inbound.

Recently acquired a Mesa 800D.

Together they will rule.

I’ve always enjoyed cabs equipped with 8” drivers. I’ve had a handful over the years and toured a Henry for some time - I was lucky enough to purchase the remaining purpose built 8” Neo drivers that would have been the Subway 8x8 from @agedhorse. With the drivers data (and the words of wisdom from from the horses mouth) I will be building a super 8x8 that will full take 1000 watts, go lower and beat a fridge in all ways. This is my dream. I will be building this with the help of my buddy Jerry (Satyrnine Amplification) (forget his screen name here) after he finishes a custom tube amp for his bassist. Thanks a ton, Andy… without you this cab wouldn’t have happened.

So stoked to have an abundance of excellent dream worthy cabs choices, and these two will truly take the cake.
